A Final Xmas post

Here's one more "Night Before" version that I couldn't help but steal from Da Jules. Y'all enjoy! Twas the night before the party When all through the town, No pigs were stirring, No cops were around. We drank segrams & smoked panama reds, While visions of the munchies danced through our heads. When all of a sudden came a knock at the door... We all yelled "Pigs!" & hit the floor. But what to our red glazed eyes did appear... A pound of columbian with 2 kegs of beer. Friends Fundraising for Good Causes. :)

I have several friends who are doing various fund raising activities so here's all the info. If you have any extra monies to donate, it's much appreciated... My friend Ami is participating in Relay For Life on Friday, April 20 to fight cancer. To donate to the cause, visit her personal fundraising page . My buddy Lance is going to be shaving his head on March 24th to raise funds for children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment. My friend Brian is going to be participating in the MS 5k Walk on March 31. I'm actually thinking about walking with him but not doing the full-blown fundraising thing. How Death Brought Me Back To Life

Mom died of brain cancer 25 years ago and it was the hardest single death I've experienced thus far. I joked for years that I started with the worst and everything after that was easy by comparison...I was wrong. One of the weirdest things I've noticed about being in my 40s is that you have to start watching your friends die from things that you used to think were for older people. I've lost friends to heart attack, diabetes complications, stroke, cancer, you name it. I think in your teens and 20s if you have close death, it's primarily to accident or dumbassery. 2014 started off like any other year, but in May I lost a friend to cancer. With his life circumstances and the progress of the disease, it almost seemed a cruel joke for him to go. I took it really hard. Then came June and I got completely floored by the suicide of someone I loved dearly. To be honest, I'm still trying to recover from that one. It was at this point that my depression started over
